A place which makes you truly feel like you’re in a fancy version of Vietnam: Restaurant Co Chin Chin Brasserie (12. August 2025)
I’ve been to the Co Chin Chin quite a few times, but I’ve never even knew about the Co Chin Chin Brasserie, so, I figured, without giving it much of a thought, I wanted to give it a try. And I must admit, that was actually a great idea! I went for the “friture royale (fish crispers, calamari and prawns, garlic mayo)” (CHF 21.50) as a starter, which is quite a generous portion of fried seafood with just enough garlic mayo – and for a very fair price.

As a main, I decided to have the “Bo Xao Bong (fried beef with bimi broccoli)” (CHF 29.50) and made “fried rice” (+ CHF 7.00) out of the rice – which was a great combination of intense flavors. So, personally, quite an amazing lunch offering – the right level of intensity, of spiciness, just exquisite with the fried rice (which was also nice by itself).

Despite a bit ‘fancier’ than average in Vietnam, it did remind me of Vietnam from an interior decoration perspective. On top of that, the staff is superbly professional. The waitress responsible for our table did an amazing job – incredibly friendly, attentive, and professional.

So, while I have been here only once, it is definitely a place I will visit again. I quite enjoyed the location, the food, and the service. Make sure to book in advance if you want to be able to score a table.
