A tropical brunch location – with missing AC: Restaurant Exotica Brunch (17. August 2025)
Usually I’m not too big a fan of brunch, but I figured it wouldn’t harm to eat a little bit of something before lunch, so, I checked for a brunch place close to the place I stayed at and stumbled upon the Exotica Brunch, which looked really appealing from an interior design perspective.
I decided to go for the “pulled pork benedict (bun, homemade pulled pork, marinated onion, tomato-mango-redpepper-confit, two poached eggs, homemade Hollandaise sauce, baked potatoes)” (EUR 15.90), which was really just right down my alley with the pulled pork for breakfast. And that blue hummus, which would color your tongue.

The inside is quite nice in terms of interior decoration, but it isn’t entirely optimal in regard to temperatures as they are missing an AC, so, if you’re seated close to a window where the sun is shining in, as I was, then you will feel like in a sauna within no time.

The staff is friendly, but not necessarily swift. I wanted a bottle of water and that took a good 10+ minutes to be served – although after nudging the waiter, it came quickly, but then the food was basically delivered at the same time, which was a bit confusing, and I don’t fully understand why you wouldn’t fast track simple beverages to keep the client happy. In any case, if you’re looking for an atmospheric place with decent brunch options, then the Exotica Brunch is about right.
