A very hyped place, which is on top of their service – but it’s still hyped: Restaurant La Paloma (1. September 2025)
The La Paloma is the latest shit on Ibiza. Whatever blog you’re looking at or whatever place you’re asking, everyone is recommending the La Paloma, and part of me gets why. The place is rather beautiful, and the service is really on top of stuff. That is all the more surprising because ultimately, the place probably hosts 150 or so people, so, that things work smoothly is really kind of an art – and an impressive performance. Other than that, that’s the downside of it since it is basically a massive place, which takes away its charm.
In any case, once you’re seated, they’re placing a giant handwritten table in front of you where the dishes can be found. To get started, the “bread with beer yeast spread and olive tapenade” (EUR 3.50 per person) sounded about right, and while I wasn’t too big a fan of the olive spread, I absolutely loved the beer yeast spread.

To get started, I ordered the “Chucho 2.0” (EUR 17.00), which was an intense but quite delicious and enjoyable drink.

The “raw milk goat cheese salad” (EUR 23.00) on the other hand was a bit weird. Ultimately it was a slice of toast with warmed up goat cheese slices on top of a salad, so, not really a combination of the two, but rather two separate things. And it was decent – but nothing more.

The “mixed salad La Paloma” (EUR 18.00) seemed to be their signature salad and I must admit that it was rather enjoyable.

As a main, I decided to go for the “linguine white island sea” (EUR 31.00) which is a very bulky and unclear name, but basically it’s seafood linguine and I must admit that was quite decent. The pasta wasn0t entirely overcooked, but just a little – and the seafood was actually enjoyable.

The “charred aubergine (tahini, honey, goat yogurt, pita bread, and home-made Labneh cheese)” (EUR 25.00) on the other hand was really not my thing since the tahini was way too dominant and basically overpowering all other flavors, so, not a fan of it.

The place itself is rather nice, no question asked, and since arrival time for the booking was 9.30pm CET, I’m sure it didn’t show its full beauty, which it probably has if you’re going a little earlier.

So, all in all, I understand why people hype the La Paloma but I cannot entirely share that hype – the place is lovely, the service is really on top of stuff, but the food isn’t that great, and the overall atmosphere is way too busy and crowded. So, worth visiting, but maybe during more quiet hours than during the bustling peak hours.
