A surprisingly good lunch buffet – in terms of quality of the food: Restaurant Sueños @ Club Med Magna Marbella (12. September 2025)
Frankly, the lunch selection at the Sueños is one of the most luscious buffets I’ve ever seen. It really offers everything you could potentially want and imagine – and the quality of the food is, surprisingly to me, given the large number of people eating here each and every meal of the day, is quite high. The selection ranges from different salads …
… with the respective dressing options …
… to a selection of different breads …
… pickled and other vegetables …
… a selection of cheeses and cold cuts …
… as well as an incredibly selection of sweets / desserts from pastries to …
… ice cream …
… and more pastries …
… to a bunch of fresh fruit …
… but if you like savory stuff you will find something for your palate too, ranging from a bunch of different sauces …
… to freshly prepared pasta (in this case Carbonara) …
… to freshly cooked meat …
… more standard rice dishes …
… pizzas …
… more cooked vegetables …
… as well as freshly prepared sardines …
… and some more dishes …
… including a ‘baby corner’ (for those interested) …
… as well as burgers …
… with all you need to prepare your burger …
… and last but not least, a full paella plate where you could eat as much as you wanted, which is – truly – a first. So, despite my rather low expectations, I must admit, the food selection was actually great!
The fact that all is self-service including beverages is a bit less appealing (especially, since the bottled water has a chlorine aftertaste) as well as the fact that the whole place is largely ‘entertainment’, i.e., there is a live band playing and a singer entertaining everyone. To be fair, the music is relatively good, but it is not something I enjoy during a meal.
