Decent food in a nice atmosphere with swift service: Restaurant Nooba Europaallee (6. October 2025)
The Nooba Europaallee is conveniently located close to Zurich’s main station, which makes it overall rather practical to have a client lunch here. That being said, they have an ever slightly changing menu, which allows you to not always eat the same dishes when you’re here. Hence, I decided to go for something I hadn’t had yet in the form of the “Pad Gra Pao (baby corn cobs, beans, bamboo sprouts, onions, garlic, Thai basil, yasmine rice, beef filet stripes)” (CHF 29.90) and while I think the dish could have had a bit more sauce, it was actually quite a nice combination of rice, vegetables, and Thai basil.
The staff is friendly and overall rather swift, which allows you to get your dishes within no time. That being said, the place is simple and overall nice, but it has a bit the challenge that they have rather ‘big tables’, which only provides you with limited privacy for a conversation. Other than that, I’d highly recommend you to book in advance, even if only 24 hours, to ensure you to get a table.
