The definition of overpriced food: Restaurant Nautika (11. October 2025)

| November 15, 2025 | 0 Comments

The Nautika was recommended by a few, so, we figured to give it a try. That being said, to me this was probably one of the most overpriced places I’ve been to in a long while. To be fair, the place is lovely, the staff does an excellent job, but the price performance ratio for the food is just off. And, admittedly, the food is actually quite good.

It all started with a “dried egg white with thyme and rosemary; bread with mushrooms; croquette with white fish and potatoes” and that was actually quite nice to start. Sure, nothing mind-blowing, but good and lovely to try.

I then decided to go for a starter at least, and picked the “shrimps with peanuts, avocado cream, and lemon” (EUR 55.00) which was praised as ‘their best dish’ by the waiter. That being said, the dish was actually good, but there were only three shrimps, and it was definitely not EUR 55.00 for such a meal good. Like, yeah, good, but more like 25-30 EUR good, not 55 EUR good.

As a main, I decided to go for the “lamb Dalmatian style (purple, cabbage, crispy chickpeas, onion marmalade)” (EUR 63.00), which turned out to be quite tasty. The lamb was cooked to temperature, the meat was tasty, and the onion marmalade with which it came, made it a great bite. However, I think it would have been more reasonable if they had added a third lamb cutlet to the plate.

Last but not least, you get a few sweets as treats from the kitchen, which were all very tasty, but it still felt like all of it was too expensive for what you get.

The place looks lovely from the outside …

… as well as from the inside. And I do admit, the staff did a marvelous job being superbly attentive, mega friendly, and really making sure you have everything you want and need at all times.

So, if it wasn’t for the disproportion between the food and the price for that food, I would rate this place higher. But frankly, that was just too off.
