If you randomly stumble upon the perfect breakfast spot: Chestnut Bakery Covent Garden (25. October 2025)

| December 3, 2025 | 0 Comments

It was nothing but luck that I saw the Chestnut Bakery Covent Garden, but given the place was already quite crowded right after it had opened and given the food looked tasty, I figured one should have breakfast here. I started with the “turkey, garlic & honey mustard lattice” (GBP 7.25), which was actually quite lovely. A bit too dry for my personal gusto, but that is very often the case with puff pastry for me.

I then went for the “flatbread – house merguez sausage, garlic aioli” (GBP 15.95), which was absolutely perfect. I mean, it’s somewhat heavy and definitely intense in flavor, but that was right down my alley. So, frankly, if you’re into something hearty for breakfast this is absolutely perfect to enjoy your breakfast here.

Besides the friendly and competent service inside, the place is also quite lovely – especially from the outside – since it is decorated with flavors and has a very instagramable vibe. To be clear, no insta pictures were taken (only of the food).

To sum it up, the experience in the Chestnut Bakery Covent Garden was a great one. The food is delicious, the staff is friendly, the atmosphere is nice, and the prices are fair. So, definitely something I’d frequent more often if I was based in London. Booking in advance is recommended.
