If you’re patient, the food is quite good – but not great if you’re in a rush: Restaurant Dona Linda (26. November 2025)

Given I hadn’t tried that place, and it had a rating of 4.6 on Google, I figured I should give it a try, which I did. Booking was only possible over the phone (which isn’t entirely optimal in today’s world), but it worked. The place was almost booked out, as two walk-ins were told that there is no space. Well, that being said, there was the challenge with that because, ultimately, the staff was superbly busy, and hence, not really in a position to attend properly. After quite a bit of waiting time, we were able to place our order, and I went for the “fried open sardines, roasted peppers, tomatoes, bread” (EUR 16.00), which were quite okay, but it took them 30 minutes to prepare.

Given I didn’t really know what to expect, when I ordered the “grilled Secreto de Porco of black pork, salad, broccoli” (EUR 29.00), I went for that. Turns out that it’s kind of a skirt cut of pork, and it was – honestly – delicious! So, definitely worth trying and enjoying. And, funny enough, the main course was served much quicker than the starter.

The place is small, but decent in terms of interior decoration. The staff is superbly friendly, but not really on top of things in terms of speed, which isn’t astounding, given the fact that there was one chef and one waitress, who run the whole place, which was hard to handle if there are 20 people in your restaurant. So, to sum it up, the main course was great, the staff is friendly, but, frankly, the waiting time is too long.
