Superbly friendly staff and decent food – but lacking on the veggie side: Restaurant The Jack’s House (8. December 2025)
I ended up being there quite a bit earlier than my actual lunch booking since I still had a call – and they were nice enough to already let me in by 10:50am, which was superbly generous, and lovely since it allowed me to get setup before the call. Once the call was done, I decided .what to eat – and figured that the selection isn’t too wild. But they are famous for their cevapcici, so, I went for the “cevap plate (10 pieces)” (CHF 19.90) with the “sauce combination of two sauces” (CHF 4.00). Frankly, the meat is good, the bread is good, and the sauces are good, but it’s a bit dry all in all. I was missing a few more tomatoes and cucumbers, and maybe a leaf of salad. If that had been part of the dish, I think it would have been quite perfect.
The place is nice as it is spacious, so, you have a bit of privacy when having a conversation. That being said, the staff is friendly and attentive, and makes sure you have everything you need at all times. So, while the selection is limited, the prices are fair, and the food is decent.
