Definitely a good bargain but no clue how we get to a 4.9 on Google: Restaurant Doree 65 (13. February 2026)

| April 1, 2026 | 0 Comments

Given the Doree 65 had a rating of 4.9 on Google and I felt like having meat, I was looking forward to trying the meat here. And frankly, with a 4.9 after don’t know how many people reviewing the place sounded like something to try. Well, I figured, I might give it a try too. That being said, I also realized that the reason why people rate this place so well is due to the price you pay for your meat, which is rather low. I went for the “XL filet steak (400gr)” (EUR 30.99), which was obviously a bargain from a price perspective. And in all fairness, I’m not entirely sure what a filet steak is, but the meat was decent (not amazing, but good).

As side dishes, I went for the “spinach” (EUR 2.99) and “grilled vegetables” (EUR 4.99) and both were actually good (after you’ve applied a little salt to it).

The “Gorgonzola cream sauce” (EUR 3.99) and the “sauce Béarnaise” (EUR 3.99) on the other hand were rather average. Sure, there was plenty of it, and you would definitely have enough to bathe your whole piece of meat in them, but it wasn’t something, which was outstanding in terms of flavor. And while I enjoy Gorgonzola, the sauce was really not great.

On top of all of it, I found the interior of the restaurant very non-appealing. So, all in all, if you’re looking for a big piece of meat for a low price, then this is the place to go to. If you’re looking for atmosphere and excellent dishes, then I would probably recommend you to go somewhere else.
