Quite hidden, but actually fine for lunch: Restaurant Choupette – presque une brasserie (20. April 2026)

| June 9, 2026 | 0 Comments

I had only been here once about two years back and back then for dinner, so, I didn’t really have this place on my radar for lunch, but turns out that it works quite well for lunch too. I went for the “asparagus cream soup with pretzel croutons and wild garlic oil” as a starter (“soup of the day”), which wa actually decent and enjoyable.

As a main, I decided to go for the “meat loaf by family Aschwander with an egg sunny side up, and roesti” (CHF 27.00). Sure, this is a superbly simple dish, but it is not only that, it is also a delicious option for a typical Swiss lunch meal.

The place is quite nice in terms of interior design and if you get a table on the side, then you also have sufficient privacy. That being said, the staff is friendly, attentive, and swift, so, really quite perfect for an efficient business lunch.
