A decent option for lunch – somehow Mexican cuisine, but not really: Restaurant Cartell (22. April 2026)
I hadn’t been here in a while, but given it was located conveniently close to where I had spent the morning, I figured this might be a good option. I had ordered “tacos chile colorado (4 pieces) (tacos with juicy, slow cooked pork with an intense Mexican Adobo from guajillo, pasilla and chile de árbol chiles, served in warm tortillas, garnished onions, coriander and a fresh note)” (CHF 34.00) and a “side salad” (CHF 6.00). The side salad was nice and refreshing and the tacos were tasty too. Especially with a few different spicy sauces on them. That being said, I can hardly believe that these were the tacos chile colorado because they looked and tasted all the same.

The place is quite nice overall – spacious, you have your privacy, and the interior design is overall lovely. The staff is friendly and generally attentive (ignoring that I didn’t get what I had ordered).

The place fills up rather quickly, so, it’s good to book your table in advance. To sum it up, the place is fine, but nothing too amazing which I would visit any time soon again.
