Amazing service, amazing view, great dishes – but not easy to reach: Restaurant Cremnos (3. May 2026)

| June 29, 2026 | 0 Comments

Did you know that there are hotels with a “Michelin key”, i.e., something like a Michelin star, but for hotels? Well, I didn’t and just learned about this (apparently since 2024). And the ACRO Suites has a Michelin key and the Restaurant Cremnos is their restaurant. So, the restaurant doesn’t have a Michelin star, but the hotel in which it is located has a Michelin key. Confusing? Yes. Somehow still logical? Also, yes!

Once you’ve arrived, and you’re seated, they bring you “freshly baked warm bread, with olives in olive oil” and the bread, the olives, and the olive oil are all great to get started.

We decided to share a few starters and went for the “tuna & melon (raw tuna, marinated melon, tsalafouti cheese, valerian leaves)” (EUR 20.00), which was tasty. You can’t see the melon, but there were a few different melons in the dish, and that really gave it some interesting edge, so, definitely a good start as a starter.

The “fried calamari (crispy calamari with lemon mayo)” (EUR 23.00) couldn’t quite keep up with the tuna and melon. Sure, there isn’t too much you can do with the fried calamari, but it was still somewhat uninspiring.

The “grilled octopus (char grilled octopus with lemon, caper leaves and extra virgin olive oil)” (EUR 23.00) on the other hand was the best one I’ve had on this island. It was incredibly tender, like butter, and was easy to cut and to eat. So, definitely something I can recommend you to try!

Given I had sea bass for the past three nights and sea bass was again the ‘fish of the day’, I decided to go for something else, namely, the “pork gyros (charred pork belly, pita bread, tomato, onion, tzatziki and potatoes)” (EUR 25.00), which was served in the most fancy way I’ve ever seen gyros being served! It did not only look fancy, but it also tasted fancy, meaning, it was actually very tasty. The French fries were – unfortunately – not as great, as they were quite stroppy.

As a final course, we had “mastika ice cream (EUR 3.50)”, which I absolutely loved, and “fresh summer fruits” (EUR 16.00), which were actually great in terms of taste already. Not sure to what extent they’re grown locally or imported, but in either case, they were delicious.

The place is absolutely lovely as the interior is superbly nice, the place is spacious, so you also have your privacy …

… you get to watch the kitchen cook …

… and get to enjoy the interior, which is truly lovely.

What I liked even more was the view from the restaurant – it’s actually superbly lovely even if the weather is bad …

… and it becomes even lovelier once the sun has set and the lights go on.

That being said, the staff doesn’t an outstanding job – they are extremely attentive and super friendly. You definitely feel like a welcome guest here – even if you’re not staying at the hotel. So, not only for the view, but for the whole experience, I can recommend you to dine at the Cremnos!
