Dinner in an amazing location with a breathtaking view: Restaurant Lure @ Mystique, a Luxury Collection Hotel (16. May 2026)

| July 16, 2026 | 0 Comments

To visit the Mystique, a Luxury Collection Hotel in Santorini was on my to-do list for more than a decade. And finally, even if not staying here, it was the time to do so by visiting the Lure restaurant. I started with the “Never Gonna Let You Down” (EUR 25.00) drink, which was not only delicious, but also rather funny as the waiter got the ‘rick-rolling reference’ and we had a good laugh.

Then, it was time for a small “amuse bouche with bread & butter with honey”. I enjoyed the butter with honey a lot and the bread was generally good – so was the amuse bouche.

The first course was the “sea bass tartare with salsa verde” (EUR 36.00) and it did not only look absolutely stunning with the view onto the bay of Santorini, but it was also delicious. Not necessarily a combination I had expected to work (the fish with the salsa verde), but it really did!

The same was true for the next course, the “octopus with Mediterranean aromas (tomato, capers, chilli)” (EUR 32.00). Interestingly enough, they had placed a small layer of tomato gelee on top of the octopus and that really worked well together. On top of that, the tomatoes added to the flavor profile. So, definitely something I can highly recommend you to try too.

What I found truly amazing was the view. It’s not a view for sunsets as you’re facing the wrong direction, but it’s a marvelous view, so, it’s good if you’re here a little early, i.e., by like 7pm or so.

The “fish fillet of the day (spumante, clam sauce)” (EUR 40.00) was a red snapper and I must say that it was truly delicious. However, paying EUR 40.00 for just the fish fillet with any sides felt a bit like a rip-off, despite the fact that it was truly tasty.

Last but not least, some “friandises” were served, which were nice to end the dinner.

The staff is friendly and attentive and makes sure you have everything at all times – there even is a heater close to each table in case things get a bit colder once the sun has set.

As mentioned, the absolutely best thing about this place is the view you have onto the bay of Santorini, so, make sure to book your table early as they have only space for approximately 20 guests.

To sum it up, I would highly recommend you to dine here as the place is fantastic, the staff is doing a great job and the food is good. Be aware that they do have a valet service, which is good to know early, as else you will struggle to find a parking spot.
