An absolutely delicious Michelin-star experience for a more than fair price: Restaurant L’Odas (30. May 2026)

| July 31, 2026 | 0 Comments

I was not sure what to expect of the L’Odas, but given it has one Michelin star, I was looking forward to trying it out. Once you’re seated, and I would highly recommend you to book your flight in advance, you have to pick your dishes. We decided to go for the “prendre son temps en 5 services” (EUR 95.00), which means “take your time in five courses”, so, you have to be ready to “take your time”.

The evening started with two small bites – one in the form of a “gin and tonic marshmallow” and I must say, it doesn’t only sound nice, but it was actually superbly delicious and, hence, a good start into the dinner. The other was a “foie gras with ham”, which was almost equally nice.

The next bite was lovely too – not quite sure what it was (as I forgot to take notes), but I remember that it was enjoyable.

The “radish” was simple, yet good too.

What I absolutely enjoyed was the “cheese cake” as it was of a good intensity and something really local. Definitely something, which satisfied my taste buds!

Their bread is also exquisite!

Especially in combination with the whipped butter, which is light, and, with a bit of freshly added salt, it makes you ask for more over and over again.

What I enjoyed a lot was the fact that we got the table right next to the kitchen, so, we were able to watch the chefs preparing the food – ours and the food of others. Unfortunately, our menu did not include this dish, but it did look very pretty!

Net in line were the “green peas with hake and orange confit”, which was nice! I must admit that peas have always been among my favorites and that just got reconfirmed with this dish!

Then, it was time for the “Swiss char, lemon, white wine with shallots and herbs”, which looked a bit unexciting, but turned out to be superbly fresh and rich in flavor! So, yet another good dish!

The “quail leg with vegetables” was fine as well – good in terms of combination of different intense flavors, so, another enjoyable dish.

What I liked a lot with that course was the fact that you get a little raviolo stuffed with foie – definitely intense, but I like it that way!

What I truly enjoyed was the cheese wagon. It’s a while ago since I’ve had that pleasure, so, I was more than ready to dive into my cheese selection.

And I must admit, while there was nothing really mind-blowing in that selection (yes, my selection), it was still something I was truly enjoying.

Then it was time for a little bit of honey from the honey comb …

… which was a nice sweet ending to your dinner. Loved it!

But it was rather a bit of an inspiration for the next course, the first dessert, which I found light, fresh, and enjoyable.

And the very same was true for the following dessert – which came with a little bit of fun since you had to ‘crack’ the ‘net’ with your spoon before you were able to eat it!

Then it was time for friandises which came in the form of a jelly …

… cookies …

… and a chocolate lollipop. And all of it was tasty, so, truly a great ending to a good dinner.

That being said, I must admit that I enjoyed the fact that you can watch the staff the whole evening above everything. On top of that, the service staff is friendly and attentive, and makes sure you have enough water and wine at all times.

To sum it up, I didn’t really have any big expectations, especially considering the ‘more than reasonable’ price for the tasting menu. That being said, make sure to book in advance, as else it might be hard to score a table on short notice!
