I figured my new ‘go-to’ has become ramen – also in France: Restaurant Chiba Ramen Vieux Marché (31. May 2026)

| August 3, 2026 | 0 Comments

I was a bit hungry, but not overly much, so, I decided to go for something simple and light for dinner in the form of the “poulet tantan udon (thick free-range chicken broth, chicken pieces sautéed in spicy sauce, shoyu sauce spices, tamago, perfumed menma, grated carrots, chives, coriander, sesame)” (EUR 13.90), which turned out to be quite mouth-watering. The broth was rich and flavorful and had the exact right level of spiciness (at least to my liking).

The place is simple and rather decorated – and the waiter, which seems to be the owner and the chef as well, was friendly and attentive.

So, if you’re looking for a swift ramen noodle soup experience when in Rouen, then the Chiba Ramen Vieux Marché is definitely something I can recommend you to try.
