An average pizza place – at best: Restaurant Pizzeria La Chiesa (15. June 2026)
It wasn’t easy to find an appealing restaurant for a Monday evening and the first place I had spotted on Google Maps was really more of a takeaway than anything else. So, I kept looking, and it looked like the La Chiesa was decent, so, off we go to this place. It turned out to be a restaurant adjacent to a training facility, hence, there were a lot of people coming in after doing sports, and quite some tables were booked. When I walked in and asked if they had a table available, I was told that there was only space on the “high chairs” (which I generally truly dislike). That being said, it was too late, and I was hungry, so, it was what it was. I decided to go for the “Pizza Alessandro II (garlic, spinata piccanta, anchovies, zucchini, red onions, cheese, and Gorgonzola)” (EUR 17.50) and I had picked the small version (mistakenly assuming that the large version would be very big, but it was actually regular size).

The pizza was enjoyable because it had all the right ingredients and the bottom was thin and crispy. Not as thin and crispy as a pizza Napolitana, but still enjoyable. Only the crust was a little bit too much in comparison with the pizza size. The staff is generally friendly, but seems to be talking mostly with themselves and taking a little less care of their guests. And the fact that they charge you extra because you pay with a foreign credit card I find disturbing. So, the pizza was decent, the rest was not really something I would want to repeat.
