A delicious pop-up option with Japanese dishes: Restaurant Okonomiyaki Pop Up @ Yume Limmatplatz (22. June 2026)

| September 2, 2026 | 0 Comments

Given it is a pop-up restaurant, I would highly recommend you to book in advance, as it was booked out even on a Monday evening. We went for the “miso butter squid (squid steam grilled in a foil with mushrooms and veggies)” (CHF 17.50) and the “Adora shiso tomato” (CHF 11.50) as a starter. The miso butter squid was good, but the sauce it was served in was truly outstanding! It was so tasty you just wanted to drink it like that! The tomatoes were refreshing, light, and enjoyable too. So, this was definitely a good start into a tasty dinner.

Then, I decided to go for their recommended main dish, the “Okonomiyaki Harakiri (Osaka’s soul food, crispy outside and fluffy inside – cabbage pancake, bacon, 150gr ground beef, Gruyère, pickled onions, red onions, black garlic mayo, house BBQ sauce, katsuobushi, sunny side up egg)” (CHF 33.50), which looked a bit small at first, but actually turned out to be quite a portion and was superbly delicious! So, definitely something you should try when you’re dining here – it made my taste buds dance.

The staff is absolutely professional and very friendly at the same time – they are always there when you need them, and they are quite accommodating with requests (as we had someone coming late and, hence, had a bit of a split ordering approach, which wasn’t an issue for them at all.

To sum it up, the Okonomiyaki is definitely a pop-up I’ll visit again before it closes – it offers a small selection of incredibly tasty dishes in a simple, yet friendly atmosphere. And all of it for a very fair price, especially for Zurich!
