A return after half a decade – and a pleasant one: SWISS First Class Lounge A (26. June 2026)
Frankly, I still remembered my last experience at the SWISS First Class Lounge A back in 2021, so, I was very much looking forward to having breakfast here again. That being said, I was also wondering if anything has changed and I can confidently say, it hasn’t, and that’s a good thing! Upon arrival I was taken care of in a very friendly manner and the staff at the entrance did their utmost best to make me feel welcome.
That continued when I sat down and was asked what I wanted to eat. The waiter was attentive and super friendly. His colleague then brought the beverages and filled my glass with water, but still one. I told him I had ordered sparkling water and then he started to discuss with me that his colleague has written down still water. Since I always order sparkling water, I’m more than a 100% sure that I ordered sparkling water. The waiter even repeated the order. So, that the other waiter then found it necessary to start a discussion is a bit surprising to me. Maybe – in the sense of training – a good round of “the customer is always right” wouldn’t harm.
That being said, the dishes then came relatively quickly (they were actually served at the same time, but that is kind of my fault as I had ordered them at the same time) and I started with the “avocado sourdough toast, creamy avocado-cilantro-smash, chives, radish slices, baby spinach, homemade lemon cream”, which was super nice. The bread was crispy without being burnt, the avocado spread was delicious, and all in all, it was just a good first bite for breakfast.

As a second dish for breakfast, I went for the “Eggs Benedict – poached egg, sautéed baby spinach, homemade hollandaise, bacon”, which were cooked to perfection. The moment you cut the egg, it would fall apart and the egg yolk would run over your spinach and bread, which was just perfect. And frankly, the combination with bacon is a superbly pleasant one I hadn’t tried before (I think).

The place was still a little ‘dark’ since the curtains were closed, but all in all, it is just like in a proper restaurant – and it’s quite lovely.

So, if you ever have a chance to fly First Class, join the lounge with a HON circle member or get here by any other means, definitely take the time and spend a bit of time here – it’s worth it. It’s not the same as the SWISS First Class Lounge in Terminal E, but it is already superb!
