Their signature Bloody Mary, the Asam Boi Mary, is definitely worth trying: Astor Bar @ The St. Regis Kuala Lumpur (1. July 2026)
Whenever I’m staying in a St. Regis, I need to try their local version of the Bloody Mary, and here, it’s the “Asam Boi Marry (2015) (Asam Boi-infused vodka, tomato juice, calamansi, sarawak black pepper, paprika, chili padi & tabasco)” (75 MYR), which definitely has its own style. It’s a little sweeter than most Bloody Marys I’ve tried, but it’s very enjoyable. So, if you make it to the St. Regis in Kuala Lumpur, make sure to visit the Astor bar and get an Asam Boi Mary!
The interior is simple, but nice – resembling a traditional colonial bar where British gentlemen can smoke their cigars. And I’m pretty sure, this is actually something you can do here, as the place smells a little bit of smoke.
The staff is overall superbly attentive and friendly and makes sure you have everything you need at all times. When the chips were eaten, almost immediately, they offered to bring new ones. So, all in all, when you’re in KL and you enjoy a good Bloody Mary, the Astor Bar is a must.
