19. March 2013: Restaurant Die Kuh Die Lacht
The “Chef Burger” (two beef patties, crispy bacon, ketchup, fresh lettuce and cheese; EUR 8.00) is a god damn tasty burger! The extra layer of bacon (EUR 0.50) provides it with the perfect crispiness (once you made it there). I have had a lot of different burgers so far but this is definitely one of the best ones I have tried!
The Caesar Salad (EUR 3.00 as a side dish) on the other hand was not really that outstanding. I mean the croûtons were tasty and freshly made but other than that the salad was pretty regular. The prices are rather fair for what you get – especially for the burger. The same applies for the beverages (Schöfferhofen Hefeweizen 0,5L, EUR 3.50).
The place is simple but nicely furnished – the tables are a little small to be hoinest and you do not really have a lot of space – especially if you would be four people sitting at a table. What is a bit funny is that you actually have to go to the front desk to place your order – something nobody told us for about 10 minutes. Once we had placed our orders, the burger was served within a few minutes.
Overall, if you get used to the concept of placing your order at the front counter, I can absolutely recommend the Restaurant “Die Kuh die lacht” (which, by the way, is German for “the cow that laughs”) – great burgers!
