13. April 2013: Restaurant Marktplatz

| April 22, 2013 | 0 Comments

The “fried fish strips bowl on salad with tatar-sauce, lemon slices and onion rings” (CHF 25.80) are acceptable. The fish is okay, the crispiness of the fried crust leaves something to be desired. The salad is okay but the sauce is definitely industrially produced (it tasted exactly the same already 10 years ago) and so is the tatar (but that one tastes better).

The prices are fair – for the food as well as for the beverages (Rivella, 0,5L, CHF 6.10). The place itself is nice, when you get a spot outside in the sun. Inside is fine too, nothing overwhelming but you can definitely sit down. The service is okay, friendly, very quick – knows her job and does it.

Overall, the Restaurant Marktplatz is a safe bet – you get your Swiss food within a very reasonable time-span for a fair price. The food is okay, nothing outstanding but you can eat it. Quick something for inbetween, the Marktplatz is the place to go.
