17. April 2013: Restaurant Ly’s Asia
The price for the Sushi Lunch menu (CHF 30.00) is very fair but then again … the dishes are limitedly satisfying. The “Glazed Honey Chicken” (CHF 4.00) are rather disappointing. While the honey glazing is truly delicious, the meat is absolutely the opposite – not delicious at all.
The sushi lunch (with 6 maki, 2 futo-maki, 6 nigiri and 2 inside-out; CHF 26.00) is quite okay. I mean, I definitely have had better sushi but it was eatable. The price is quite fine for the amount of food you get – not so much though for the quality of it. The beverages are compartively okay in price – CHF 6.50 for half a litre of water.
The place itself is pretty nice – especially when you can sit outside in the sun (I did not manage to go inside). What is truly not nice is the service. I mean, they are friendly but they are absolutely incompetent! My company ordered a slice of lemon with the water – I asked the waiter to bring it after he forgot the first time. It never arrived out our table. I had the sushi lunch – and was served a nice plate of 8 California rolls (which I’ve never ordered). The bill was also taking quite some time until it arrived – we had to wait for quite some time
Well, put it that way – it was worth trying but I also know I won’t go there again!
