17. March 2010: Secret Concerts – Il Pan del Diavolo
Secret Concerts aren’t really a restaurant, a club or even a gelateria, still, I think it’s worth being mentioned.
“Secret Concerts” is a concept where the underlying idea basically is that a music band plays in a location which is kept secret until maximal 24 hours before the concert takes place. Usually, the event is announced about one month before and there is only a limited amount of seats available. Once, you’re in, you get a text about the location and each person is obliged to contribute a small cash amount, a bottle of wine and something to eat.
Out of the things people bring to the place, an aperitivo buffet is built where each person from the audience just helps oneself. The quality of the buffet is highly depending on the people and what they’re bringing to the event – also, it depends on the time you’re going to the buffet as it continuously changes.
The atmosphere of the place was really nice for this event (as the location changes every time, it can’t be applied in general to all upcoming concerts of course). A modern design, paintings hanging from the walls. The only shortcomming was that there were no sitting possibilities during the concert but the floor and as the floor was made of marble, it wasn’t too comfortable.
The act of the evening was “Il Pan del Diavolo” ( http://www.ilpandeldiavolo.it ). The two artists were playing their guitars and singing to their music – really relaxing and chilly but also entertaining and energetic musi. Definitely great artists to listen to.
Looking at the price and what you get for it, it’s a great experience!
