2. May 2013: Restaurant Huth da Moritz
When booking a restaurant via Delinski.at (and saving 30% on the total bill) I have only made good experiences so far. And I did so again! The booking took place 30 minutes earlier but was already setup properly when we arrived. The restaurant is quite nice having two floors. We were seated on the upper floor with a nice view to the lower floor of the restaurant.
After placing our order bread and olives were brought to our table. The olives were absolutely delicious slightly coated with olive oil and a few herbs.
My starter, a “beef tatar with mustard mayonnaise, red onion confit and focaccia bread” (EUR 13.50 or EUR 9.45 counting the 30% discount) was prepared to my gusto (slightly spicy) but not only that, it was also quite tasty. The combination with the mustard mayonnaise was rather new to me but it was also quite good.
The “Black Angus beef filet” (200gr, EUR 26.90 or EUR 18.83 with 30% discount) served as Tagliata on rocket salad was delicous. It had this tasty grill aroma but was beautifully soft and tasted like beef. The simple company of the rocket salad with olive oil mad it a perfect dish.
The prices – especially with the Delinski.at discount – are absolutely fair for what you get. This does not only apply to the dishes but also to the beverages (water, 0,3L, EUR 2.90; double espresso, EUR 4.00; 1/8L Chianti, EUR 4.90, 1/8L Grüner Veltliner, EUR 3.20). What is quite uncommon though was the fact of a “cover charge” of EUR 2.00 per person. I mean, that’s not much, no question but still it is pretty unusual in my experience (at least in Austria). The waiter was very friendly, competent, helpful and did just a great job. Nothing to complain here.
To sum it up, if you like to eat out and are looking for something good, tasty in a nice atmosphere for a fair price with good service, then the Restaurant Huth da Moritz is definitely worth visiting. If you book it via Delinski.at you can even save 30% on the entire bill!
