2. June 2013: Dino’s American Bar
The Baguette “El Rey” (EUR 5.00; créme fraiche, ham, brie, tomatoes, pepper and oregano) is quite simple but astonishingly tasty. The combination of the molten brie, the tomatoes, pepper and oregano is incredibly tasty.
As one usually does not go to a bar to eat but much more to drink, I figured I should try some new drinks I did not know, so I started with “Emis Cocktail” (vanille vodka, prepared with Bourbon vanille, midori, lime juice; EUR 9.00) which was very refreshing but had a nice intensity.
The second cocktail, a “Stir it up” (wyborowa, peach brandy, Rose’s lime juice, cranberry syrup, ginger ale; EUR 9.50) which has won a couple of prices is quite interesting because – as the name already suggests – you have to stir it up before drinking it. It is also quite tasty.
The place is quite dark but somehow nice like quite a few “American Bars” I have been to in Vienna. Only the layout is not as stylish as other places. The service is friendly and quite good when it comes to recommending something. Overall, it is definitely another nice American Style bar and they have great drinks – and although the snack menu is rather small, even the baguettes offered are quite tasty!
