4. July 2013: Restaurant L’Angolo della Pizza
The “Tagliatelle al Tartufo with black truffles and parmesan” (EUR 5.00) as a starter was a great idea – the pasta was cooked al dente and the black truffle was generously distributed all over. Taste-wise definitely good but then again not the freshest truffle I have tried in my life.
The “beeffilet in green pepper sauce” (EUR 18.90) was perfectly cooked medium-rare as requested and the meat was actually rich in taste. The sauce was very thick but intensely peppery.
The filet was accompanied by a simple but good salad – overall the main as well as the starter were good and sound dishes above average but definitely not yet outstanding. Then again, given the price one has to say that the dishes are actually quite damn good!
The price are also fair for the beverages (e.g. EUR 5.00 for a bottle of water). The waitress was very friendly, smileing and nice – only it took quite some time for her to come to our table to take up our orders. Other than that, nothing to complain. The place itself is nice, really Italian in style and you feel comfortable there. Reservation highly recommended as the place was absolutely full on this Thursday night!
