13. August 2013: Restaurant Glacis Beisl

| August 26, 2013 | 0 Comments

Once more I was surprised by the simplicity of a place which actually provides very tasty dishes for absolutely no money. I started with a “Gazpacho” (EUR 4.20) which was taste-intense, a bit too thick to be gazpacho imho but still rich.

Now the “grilled blood sausage on sauerkraut with salted potatoes” (EUR 8.60) was absolutely mouth-watering. The blood sausage was very aromatic, very taste-intense, absolutely great! As simple as the dish was as happy I was to enjoy it! Definitely recommendable if you like blood sausage!

The service is very friendly and also rather quick and up for a joke. Other than that, the “beer garden” is quite nice too – it is hidden in the patio of various buildings so it is quiet. Last but not least also the prices for the beverages are fair: 0,5L Premium Lager for EUR 4.10.

To sum it up: Great place to enjoy a beer and some simple, tasty, but very rich Austrian food!
