9. November 2013: Bar Urania

| November 22, 2013 | 0 Comments

As the Bar Urania opened only lately, I decided to give it a try and I went for a dessert, a “chestnut mousse with marinated tangerines” (EUR 5.60). The dessert was served within a very short period of time which made me think that it probably came out right out of the fridge. The chestnut mousse was tasty to be fair but it had at first a strong but then lighter taste of chocolate which was not entirely to my liking.

The marinated tangerines were good though and the Roiboos Caramel tea (EUR 3.50) was as tasty. The place is perfectly located as you have a nice view on the Danube channel which is quite lovely but the interior is somehow not too appealing. The waiter either had a very grumpy day or is definitely not in the right job. Overall, I was a bit disappointed of the Bar Urania although I can imagine that it is absolutely great once summer is up and you have the chance to sit on the terrace in the sun and look onto the Danube channel.
