15. October 2009: Restaurant Queen’s
Queen’s is a little eatery located close to the residence “Arcobaleno” in the via Nicola Romeo 6. It’s quite far away from everything but especially if you are an Arcobaleno resident, it really pays off to visit the place.
The eatery is led by a couple from Apulia (a “state” in Italy) which recently moved here and opened up the eatery. They welcome you very friendly and warmly. As soon as you’ve taken your seat, they’re providing you with a rich choice of different plates containing all kinds of food (see a small selection below).
On the other hand, they serve you also warm dishes as part of the aperitivo including risotto, pasta and even meat. The astonishing part comes now: You just pay 3 Euros as a student for a beer or a glas of wine or 4 Euros for a drink: And the Mojito tastes amazing, I’ve heard.
The only thing which they could improve a bit is the ambiente of the place. It looks nice but a bit sterile as the deco is limited to a few parts in the place. Especially the chairs and tables chosen don’t really fit the niceness of the place, unfortunately.
Nevertheless, the “Queen’s” as absolutely worth a visit because the owners welcome you friendly and warmly, you immediately feel like home and the food they provide you with is freshly made and very tasty – in addition comes the price of 3 to 4 Euros for something to drink which is just hell cheap in Milan.
