30. November 2013: Restaurant Centonze @ Le Méridien Barcelona

| December 14, 2013 | 1 Comments

The breakfast at the Le Méridien Barcelona offers a wide range of different dishes starting with the classical hearty things like chicken sausages, tomatoes, bacon and scrumbled eggs complemented by a nice vegetable mixture of pumpkin, asparagus and onions.

But of course, the healthy part can’t be missing so there is a offer of various fresh fruit like kiwis, strawberries and fruit mixtures. So much about the typical dishes you get for breakfast but it is also complemented by various quite local dishes.

The cold cuts are chorizo, the spicy sausage, there is a selection of olives and last but not least there is hummus which is actually quite tasty although it does not really look like that at first when you take it from the buffet.

Besides that there is a selection of pancakes, churros with chocolate sauce, even a spicy vegetable soup shot and salmon sandwiches which are quite tasty too. The churros are – for my personal taste – a bit too dry but generally still fine.

What can of course not be missing are elements like milk and yoghurts …

… complemented by cereals …

… and of course the omelette station cannot be missing. The omelettes are quite tasty – the only thing which is definitely not really fitting my personal gusto is the fact that the onions are already pre-cooked when put into the omelette but besides that, good service and tasty omelettes.

Besides that, the place is nice decorated, nicely furnished and the staff is friendly and when you order tea it arrives with you within minutes which is not so usual. Overall, I can definitely recommend you having breakfast at the Restaurant Centonze when you stay at the Le Méridien.
