11. January 2014: Restaurant Café Imperial @ Hotel Imperial Vienna

| January 19, 2014 | 0 Comments

The Restaurant Café Imperial has recently been rebuilt and I must say the results are quite appealing. The breakfast buffet is quite nice and has a great selection of various treats starting with a good selection of various breads …

… going to various fruit juices, yoghurts and fruits …

… a very nice selection of various cheeses …

… an even nicer selection of cold cuts including “truffle milk liver spread” which is absolutely delicious and a nice selection of fish.

Of course, the large selection of cereals is not missing …

… and there is this very famous little Imperial cake which is incredibly tasty but besides that …

… there is also some other small desserts so you will not stand a chance to walk out with an empty stomach.

But it is not only the food which is nice, it is also the interior – it is a nice mixture of traditional and modern but frankly speaking, the actual breakfast room is not as appealing as the room where the food is displayed.

The service is quite good – the waiter is attentive, checks your table very frequently and is around whenever you need him. Overall, the breakfast buffet is definitely nicer than in the old setup but somehow I did not like the breakfast room as much.

So, when you’re staying at the Hotel Imperial, it is definitely worth taking your time to have breakfast there.
