25. April 2010: Restaurant Prix Fixe

| April 26, 2010 | 0 Comments

The Restaurant Prix Fixe is located in Soho, between the metro stations “Leicester Square” (Northern line and Piccadilly line) and “Tottenham Court Road” (Central line and Northern line). The restaurant looks small and somewhat normal from the outside but very much appealing from the inside. The interior is designed somewhat old-fashioned but very nicely made as you can find a variety of old posters hanging on the walls, a large mirror in the back of the restaurant and nice little wooden tables.

The waiters are extremly friendly. Upon request of more bread right in the beginning of one of the girls at the table (not exactely requested in the most polite way ever) the waiter brought the bread without even changing his face a little (just the way it is supposed to be, the guest is king, but still, not often found anymore nowadays).

The menu is quite large and there’s a variety of dishes to choose from. The only lack is the meat section which is a bit tiny, but still, some good things can be found. I’ve started with a roasted chicken salad with dried tomatoes which was very good.

As a main dish I had French fries with a beef fillet. The fillet was perfectly made: medium cooked as requested, right to the point, quite a big piece of meat, and just great (although it doesn’t look too appealing, it really was great)!

What made the whole experience even better is the fact that the waiter came during each course and asked if everything was alright and made in the way we wanted it! Like this it has to be!

Furthermore, the whole experience is quite fair in price. Not being the cheapest place I ate at in London, it must be said that it is a great place to go and eat! Definitely recommendable for everyone walking through Soho, being hungry and looking for something good with great service, a nice atmosphere and good food at reasonable prices!
