27. April 2010: Ristorante Fuoco
The ristorante Fuoco is located in the Brera area and easily reachable with a little footwalk from the metro station “Lanza” (green line) or “Moscova” (green line). The restaurant is hidden in a side street and looks not too nice from the outside, but once you’ve been looking through the windows into the restaurant itself, it really looks nice. This impression is confirmed once you’re in: High rooms, nice little tables, nice decoration!
The waiters are nice and friendly offering you the daily menu right away. Especially for lunch the ristorante Fuoco is recommendable. You can get a “primo piatto” and a “secondo piatto” (together on one plate if you like) for only 9.50 EUR. I had pasta with safran and a bistecca. Both was absolutely good – especially taking into consideration the price.
What you even get for free (or maybe it’s part of the menu) is a little desert consisting of cherries and ricotta – not necessarily what I would usually call a desert, but it’s quite good actually.
The price of the dishes and the drinks for a proper lunch meal is hilariously low – and this makes the whole place even nicer: Good food, a lot of food, really nice atmosphere, good service and almost for free. The ristorante Fuoco is the place to go for a quick lunch!
