19. May 2014: Restaurant Scent of Bamboo

The Vietnamese Spring Rolls (CHF 6.50) are a bit dry and too crispy for my personal gusto but the stuffing is fine while the sauce is quite dull.

The Pad Thai (fried rice noodles with chicken, tofu and soy sprouts) (CHF 16.50) was okay too – the chicken is not really of outstanding quality nor taste but in combination with chili and soy sauce it is quite okay.

The prices are absolutely low for Zurich – which also applies to the beverages (i.e. water, 3dl, CHF 3.50; double espresso, CHF 6.00). The place is rather simple and not too inviting but when you get to sit outside in the sun it is quite okay. The service is friendly and rather quick. Overall, the Restaurant Scent of Bamboo is an okay place to have lunch but not much more than that.
