17. June 2014: Restaurant Bohemia

| June 28, 2014 | 0 Comments

The “Black Angus tartar served with roasted home-made bread, 80gr” (CHF 22.00) is made of good quality meat and has a rich and flavourful taste. It is prepared slightly too smooth for my personal gusto but nevertheless fine. The home-made bread is aromatic but in any case it was not toasted enough but still a tiny bit stroppy. With regards to the butter it looked like it was not really that fresh and has been exposed to heat already once before.

As a main course I had the “Angus Entrecôte, 180gr” (CHF 42.00) which was prepared perfectly the way I had it ordered. However, the quality of the meat was fine but definitely nothing breath-taking but of a nice consistency and quality.

The “Roasted Vegetables” which came with it (if you take them separately, you pay an additional CHF 7.50) were a fine side-dish but could have been seasoned a bit more.

The “Sauce Béarnaise” (if you take it separately, you pay an additional CHF 2.50) was freshly prepared and definitely very tasty. It fit perfectly with the meat and was flavourful.

The waitress that evening, Vicky, did a great job. She was very passionate about her job, was friendly and always there when we needed her. The atmosphere is a bit difficult to judge upon as the restaurant had everything prepared to allow guests to watch the soccergame so it was quite crowded and loud. Still, looking at the decoration the place definitely looks nice and comfortable. Overall, I can recommend the Restaurant Bohemia as the service is superb, the place is nice, the food is good and the prices are absolutely fair.
