4. August 2014: Restaurant Scent of Bamboo

| September 13, 2014 | 0 Comments

The “spicy and sour soup with beef” (CHF 4.50) was as a matter of fact quite spicy but on the other hand had enough ingredients so you would not only sip liquid as you often do for example with a miso soup. It was a rich start for lunch.

As a main course I had the “duck seasoned with eight spices with rice” (CHF 19.50). The duck was nicely crispy, the portion was good, and the eight spices were actually also quite spicy but it still made a good and sound dish, especially together with the rice.

The atmosphere is as simple as always – nothing special here. The waitresses are friendly and quick but somehow are not that attentive and also a bit uncoordinated. However, at least the prices are very fair – for the dishes as well as for the beverages (e.g. double espresso CHF 5.00, 3DL water, CHF 3.50). All in all, the Restaurant Scent of Bamboo remains a good place to have a quick lunch.
