5. September 2014: Restaurant @ nh Niederrad Hotel

| October 11, 2014 | 0 Comments

I had the pleasure to have a seminar at the nh Hotel Niederrad – and I was absolutely positively surprised when it was time for the morning break. Usually, the breaks consist more of something sweet only and maybe some coffee and tea but the nh Niederrad managed to definitely leave a positive impression with mini hamburgers, vegetables with dip and vegetable cones – as well as the standard program (cake and sweets).

Lunch consisted of a “tomato mozzarella salad with pesto”. The mozzarella was okay, the pesto was fine too – the tomatoes were not entirely ripe yet which was a pity. Besides that, fair starter.

The “Caesar salad with croutons, egg, dried tomatoes and parmesan” was average good. However, what was definitely a nice surprise was the fact that they had dried tomaotoes in the salad which kind of gave it an extra hint of taste which was surprising as it is usually not part of the caesar salad.

The “Créme Brûlée” was quite okay. It had a nice taste of vanille but the sugar crust was not entirely caramelized which was definitely a bit of a disappointment. With regards to the service one can only say that they were dedicated and friendly – always smiling, even when some of us showed up late for lunch. The place itself is rather simple but provides you with a comfortable feeling.

The break in the afternoon was even better – spring rolls and bruschette. The only downside of it was the addicitive factor which made you eat more and more.

However, overall, I can recommend the nh Hotel Niederrad for events. The food is good and a bit different than usually.
