8. September 2014: Restaurant O’Tabe

| October 24, 2014 | 0 Comments

The Restaurant O’Tabe offers two set menus for lunch and I decided to go for the “Sashimi O’Bento” (CHF 32.00) which also comes with a miso soup which was rather common and dull in taste.

Luckily, the main course, the “Bento-Box with raw fish fresh from the market, rice, salad and fresh fruit” was definitely better than the miso soup. The fish was actually rich in taste, the rice was nicely sticky, the fresh fruit were actually fresh (i.e. the figs) and the salad was good to balance the dish off. Overall, a fair dish for the price you pay.

The place is rather simple and not really too atmospheric but the waiter was friendly and did a fine job providing us with the necessary in a reasonable amount of time. All in all, I can recommend the Restaurant O’Tabe for a quick Japanese lunch.
