26. September 2014: Restaurant Cantina Divino
The Restaurant Cantina Divino has two locations which are located basically facing each other. One is the regular restaurant which is apparently quite a location for Thursday night. Secondly there is a little cellar (or at least it feels like) which is located across the street. However, the cellar is the place we were at. The atmosphere in the cellar is nice as the building, or rather the cave to be more precise, is made out of red brick stones which provides it with a cozy atmoshere.
The “Antipasti Plate” (EUR 11.50) had a nice selection of cold cuts, cucumbers, eggplants, mozzarella and goat cheese. The food was tasty but not overwhelming but a good start into the evening.
As a main course I had the “Business Steak – rosa grilled Argentinean Black Angus rumpsteak with truffles herb sauce with a salad bouquet” (EUR 21.50). The meat was good as it was relatively tender but in all fairness it does not reach a satisfactory level of taste and for EUR 21.50 I definitely had had better beef before.
The waiter who helped us this evening was very passionate about his job but lacked a bit in attentivity in the beginning. After that he was very attentive and helpful. Overall, the Restaurant Cantina Divino is a nice place, provides a nice atmosphere, and the food is quite okay – although I liked the antipasti way more than the meat.
