24. October 2014: Restaurant Vai Vai

| December 27, 2014 | 0 Comments

Sometimes you just want to go to sleep – and then, the very moment you enter your hotel room, your friend calls you up, informing you it is his goodbye party, and that you should join. So I did! I enjoyed the “carne cruda” (EUR 14.50) which is basically veal tatar which has been put on the grill for a bit. And I must say that I prefer the real carne cruda – without it being grilled first. The meat was fine though but the selection of bread, or rather the tiny piece of bread you got, was definitely not enough.

The waitress was very friendly, jovial, and doing a good job. The Vai vai is also quite an atmospheric place – it is crowded, full, people are loud, you have to speak up if you want to be heard but it is very lively. The prices of the beverages are also fine – a 0,75L bottle of water accounts for EUR 8.40 (which I consider quite expensive for Germany) a bottle of “Vino Nobile di Montepulcian, 2003” for EUR 65.00.
