10. December 2014: Restaurant loca. better eat better
The “tartar of organic beef with toast and butter” (EUR 13.80) does not only look appealing but is actually also quite tasty. The meat is cut rather thickly but is aromatic and the toast rounds are absolutely lovely.
The “flank steak of dry aged beef with shallots and cabbage” (EUR 19.80) was fine – the meat had filaments which is not really what you want/expect. However, the sauce was tasty and the shallots and cabbage made it a sound dish. Admittedly, I have had better steaks before though.
To start the evening, bread and …
… spread were served which was tasty. The place itself is absolutely atmospheric – tiny, small, but somehow you feel very welcome when you enter the place. What must be said though – it is rather dark. So if you are going here make sure you know the people you’re going with already – as else it is definitely not the perfect place to be.
The service is very attentive and does a good job – personally, I still like the Restaurant loca a lot. I must admit though that the “menu” concept persuaded me more though when I was here last time.
