22. January 2015: Restaurant Bellevue
The “light pumpkin bell pepper foam soup with roasted pumpkin seeds” (CHF 10.50) was quite okay. It lacked a bit in intensity but was of good taste.
The “beef roast from the Herrschaft prepared in Grisonian Pinot Noir with porcini, homemade spaetzle and root vegetables” (CHF 23.00) somehow lacked specialty. The roast was okay and so were the porcini and the spaetzle but somehow it did not entirely persuade me.
The prices on the other hand are absolutely fair – the only thing whic his a bit odd is the fact that the menu of the day was more expensive than what you find on the menu which is a bit unusual. However, else, the prices are fair. A double espresso accounts for CHF 6.50, 0,77L of Passuger for CHF 7.50. The place is pretty atmospheric as the whole restaurant is held in wood and the service is friendly and helpful making it a pleasant experience. Overall, the dishes at the Restaurant Bellevue are fine, the place is lovely, the service is friendly, and the prices are okay, however, it is nothing unique really.
