10. February 2015: Restaurant Leños & Carbón
The Restaurant Leños & Carbón is specialized in meat – and although the place is located in a mall and is, therefore, not really my first choice to go eat, I was positively surprised. The “New York Steak” (37’800 COP) was aromatic but I have had better meat before.
As a side dish to the meat a selection of salad, potatoes and rice was served which was rich but definitely a bit too much. The price is absolutely reasonable although I must say it is quite expensive for Colombian standards.
The place itself is only limitedly atmospheric but for a mall restaurant it is quite acceptable. The water is also fair in price (3’800 COP for 0,5L). There is not much to say with regards to the service as you just have to place your order at the counter and then it is brought to you once it is prepared. Overall, if you are shopping in the mall the whole day, it is absolutely fine to eat there, but it is not a place I would pay a visit myself.
