29. March 2015: 108 Brasserie – Bar & Grill
So far I have not been a huge fan of smoothies but what I had at the 108 Brasserie was definitely kind of an eye-opener. I went for the “Vine (celery, cucumber, apples, spinach, lime, mint, avocado) medium size” (GBP 7.50) which did not look too appealing at first but I must admit it was actually quite a refreshing and tasty smoothie.
The “Blueberry Coconut Smoothie (blueberries, almond milk, cinnamon, mejdool dates, coconut oil, maca powder)” (GBP 7.50) was rich as well but was also quite a bit sweeter making the feeling of it being healthy vaporize within a second after the first sip.
The 108 Brasserie has a really nice bar area where you can sit for hours and enjoy the view, the people coming and going and obviously the tasty smoothies.
The interior is not only welcoming due to the fact that the place is light-flooded because of the large window front but also because the whole design reminds you of a traditional American hotel bar.
The service is very attentive and friendly – and upon not having the first smoothie I had ordered in stock (respectively the ingredients) he went up to us jovially and was superfriendly so you would not even be mad if they did not have it. Definitely worth a visit!
