13. June 2015: White Bakery
It is quite some time ago since I have had lunch in Italy – and the lunch I was able to enjoy in Pescara was surprising. The “Iced Tea alla Ciliegia” (EUR 3.50) and the “Peachy Lychee” (EUR 4.00) definitely solved my problem of being very thirsty in a pleasant way.
The “Chicken Caesar Salad” (EUR 7.00) which sounded like a tiny starter turned out to be a rather large salad. While it was in general tasty, the meat was definitely too dry but it was, as if to compensate, applied quite generously onto the salad.
The place is tiny and cute. The inside is decorated in a superlovely way – the outside is nice too but does not reach the same level of comfortableness as the inside. The service is friendly and tries to do a good job – but fails to some degree as we were served the wrong things and suddendly had two coffees instead of two iced teas – but at least they reacted quick and professional when we told them about the mistake and replaced the second coffee with an iced tea without surcharge. Overall, the “White Bakery” is a lovely place for a quick lunch break!
