1. August 2015: Restaurant Sonnenberg

Grill lunch at the Restaurant Sonnenberg is always one of the highlights in the year of the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs in the Bailliage Zurich-Ville. The amuse bouches are always very tasty ranging from salmon tatare canapées to …

… mozzarella and cherry tomato sandwiches …

… or tiny pulled beef burgers …

… not to forget the pata negra ham.

The grill event always offers a nice selection of various side dishes but they are obviously not the highlight …

… but much more the selection of different meats ranging from simple cervelats to sophisticated pieces of meat like wagyu beef and MILKE …

… making the plate a simple but beautiful arrangement of meat and seafood. Which was truly delicious!

The selection of fresh fruit for dessert to balance against the vast selection of meats is just perfect …

… but is amazingly complemented by the selection of sweets. As always the dishes were great.

The view you have from the Restaurant Sonnenberg is outstanding and the decoration of the place is very lovely.

The service is very good but given there is a very large group of guests and only a very limited amount of waiters and waitresses, sometimes they could not keep up with refilling your wine and water glasses which was a bit of a disappointment.

Overall, I can absolutely recommend you to visit the Restaurant Sonnenberg in the framework of the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs. It is a very lovely event and you always get to have a marvelous time with great dishes!
