29. August 2015: Restaurant Burger Wave
Who would have thought that you would find a decent burger place in Milan? I sure didn’t! But I am happy I was wrong. “The Ripper (180gr black angus beef, crispy bacon, cheese, salad, egg sunny side up, beet root, tomato sauce, herb mayo)” (EUR 6.90) is not only very cheap for what you get but is actually quite delicious. What I loved most about the burger though were the buns because they had structure and good consistency and were not made of that regular fluffy bread.
The “Hot Chips” (EUR 3.00) on the other hand were absolutely blunt and did not taste like much really. However, the “Sweet Chili Mayo” dip (EUR 0.20) definitely helped to make them tastier.
The Restaurant Burger Wave is not really what I would call a too appealing place at first sight as it is really just a burger joint where you can sit inside with an Australian theme. But somehow it has atmosphere – despite not being too appealing at first. The waitress was very dedicated and friendly although she did not really speak any English. But with some basic Italian we managed to get everything we needed. Overall, if you are into burgers, I can recommend you to have a burger here.
