7. September 2015: Pod 39 Rooftop Bar
I finally managed to spend 30 hours in New York and not just spending time in New York for transit. Given it was my first time, I decided to go for a hint of a by now local. The Pod 39 Rooftop Bar is definitely a place you can visit! The Mexican food, in this case “Carnitas” (USD 10.00), was absolutely yummy!
And the “taco chips with guacamole” (USD 9.00) were not really that Mexican but it was tasty too – and the portion was absolutely generous! What is great about the Pod 39 Rooftop is more the view and atmosphere though than the food.
The place is superrelaxed, people just chill and hang out …
… and the view is absolutely nice. The motives are rather regular but it really gives you a comfortable feeling of being in a big city.
Overall, I can personally recommend the Pod 39 Rooftop Bar as it offers tasty, simple food, the place is nice, the view is good, and last but not least, the atmosphere is absolutely relaxed!
