The Restaurant Schützengasse offers quite an amazing lunch combination. The “broccoli cream soup” was a decent starter …

… but in combination with the “salmon fillet with an orange sauce, rice and peas”for just CHF 24.50 is a great deal. And not only because it is very cheap for Zurich standards but also, and even more, because it is also tasty. I mean, the salmon was a bit too dry for my personal gusto but still fine.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is nice and you immediately feel comfortable, also because the staff is very welcoming and friendly. But not only that, if you go for the “lunch menu” choice, it is also served rather quickly. While the price for a “double espresso” (CHF 6.50) is very decent, I was a bit astonished about the price of the “San Pellegrino, 1L” (CHF 11.50). However, I can recommend the Schützengasse for lunch!
